The film is set in an Eastern European industrial area. The main sources of inspiration for the film are the artificial landscapes and industrial environment of East-Estonia, where both the nature and the people have undergone change. The action takes place in the large abandoned industrial complexes, which have gone out of business due to the economic recession, and in the buildings of the large industries that are still operating.

The viewer of the film can select objects and different characters with whom to move on in the action track. All the characters of the film are realistically associated with the buildings and problems of that area. Each character and building has a story to tell, unraveling when the viewer activates different details in the room.

An important place in the film belongs to sounds. Real sounds have been applied, combined with electronic ones (speech fragments of persons, industrial sounds, etc.).

The film maps the industrial architecture and marginal people of a small country in Europe. In the framework of the project we examine how and in which ways an Eastern European identifies himself/herself and which are the characters typical to Eastern Europe.

Interactive web "The EAST - EXIT"

The industrial landscape and architecture is an irrealistic environment, the esthetics of which resembles the artificial world of computer games. The present film has a some difference in comparison with virtual game because for an initial has we have the realistically persons and dwelling place.
